On October 2, VIU will hold a Sisters in Spirit Walk to honour missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people. The walk begins and ends at Kwulasulwut Garden, moving in a circle of reflection through 14 red dresses — each paired with a story and a Call for Justice from the National Inquiry. This post explores why Sisters in Spirit matters, the meaning behind the dresses, and how education, remembrance, and commitment come together in this act of solidarity.
