VIUSU Elections 2026: Results & Overview

The Vancouver Island University Students’ Union (VIUSU) has officially concluded its 2026 election cycle. This year’s election saw strong participation and a full group of student leaders elected to represent the diverse voices of VIU students.

Election Timeline & Process

The election process began with nominations opening on January 12 and closing on January 26. Campaigning took place from February 10 to March 1, followed by voting from March 2–4.

Students voted to fill positions across both the VIUSU Board of Directors and VIU governance bodies, including the Board of Governors and Senate.

Participation & Nominations

A total of 35 students signed out nomination packages, with 19 successfully completing the process.
