On Wednesday, September 17, VIUSU and the BC Federation of Students are launching the Cuts Suck, Fix Education campaign in the Quad — and we need students to step up.
Tuition is rising, funding is falling, and students are paying the price. This campaign is calling on the government to:
Strengthen the tuition limit policy
Finish the post-secondary funding review
Increase operational funding to institutions
Freeze or reduce tuition fees
The event runs from 11:00am–1:30pm, with speeches from 11:45am–12:15pm. VIUFA and CUPE 1858 are joining in solidarity.
Come grab a hot dog, hear from student and campus leaders, and add your voice to the fight. Cuts suck — but together, we can fix education.
Be there. Take action. Make it clear: students won’t be ignored.
