National Truth & Reconciliation Day / Orange Shirt Day

Join us as we honour residential school Survivors and remember the children who never made it home. Orange Shirt Day is a time for reflection, learning, and community as we continue the journey toward truth and reconciliation.

What’s happening:

  • Commemorative walk with drumming and opening remarks

  • Speeches and community open floor

  • Educational session

  • Soup & bannock lunch

  • Learning opportunities at education tables

  • Smudging support (available outside throughout event)

Schedule

  • 9:00 am – Gather outside the upper cafeteria. Uncle Gary will offer opening remarks and drumming before we walk together to the Malaspina Theatre.

  • 9:30 am – Speeches & Community Open Floor

  • 10:30 am – Educational Session

  • 11:30 am – Soup & Bannock Lunch + Education Tables in the Lobby
