Join us for a community movie night featuring Highway of Tears, a powerful documentary that examines the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people along northern British Columbia’s Highway 16.
This screening will be hosted by your Women’s Representative, Maggie and your Indigenous Representative, Hyla. Together, we will honour the lives impacted, learn about the systemic factors behind this ongoing injustice, and reflect on the responsibilities we hold as students, community members, and allies.
Content note: This film addresses themes of violence, colonialism, and loss. Support resources will be available, and attendees are encouraged to take care of themselves and step out as needed.
All students are welcome.
