Food 4 Thought: Managing Your Money

  • Building 250 / Room 125 900 Fifth Street Nanaimo, BC, V9R 5S5 Canada (map)

Money stress is real—and most of us were never taught how to actually manage it.

Join us for Food 4 Thought: Managing Your Money, a hands-on financial literacy workshop hosted by your Students’ Union and presented through CPA Canada’s Financial Literacy Program. This session is designed specifically for post-secondary students who want practical tools they can use right now—not just “someday adult” advice.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Make your money last between paydays and student loans

  • Build a budget that actually works for student life

  • Track spending without feeling overwhelmed

  • Set realistic financial goals—even on a tight income

This session focuses on real-world scenarios students face, from juggling rent and groceries to planning ahead without burning out.

Plus, enjoy a free catered lunch while picking up skills that can help reduce financial stress and give you more control over your money. Please let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
