Permaculture Club

Campus: Nanaimo

Located on campus at Vancouver Island University the Permaculture Club is a demonstration garden, designed as accessible as possible to the maximum amount of people. The garden is on the north side of the Nanaimo campus library.

The Permaculture Club (earlier known as Community Peace Garden) germinated in 2008, and serves as a space for learning, gathering, and relationship building with nature and the food we depend on. We all eat for a living. Food growing, seed saving, plant medicine, identification and traditional ecological knowledge are all essential skills that we take with us on our lifelong journey. You are invited to participate in this nurturing space, to get your hands dirty, and to help cultivate community.
